How to play Secret Laboratory
Secret Laboratory hands you a lab, a rack of empty slots and a notebook that was torn up. The fragments are scattered around the rooms, and each one you reach is a clue about the order of the experiment's steps: this before that, this one first, those two side by side, exactly two steps between these. Set the steps on the rack in the order you believe, then run the batch at the stations. The right order completes the experiment; a wrong one fails the batch.
Every experiment is generated so that its fragments allow exactly one order, so there is always a deduction to make rather than a guess. A containment clock runs the whole time, and a failed batch costs a chunk of it.
There are five experiments. They grow from four steps to eight, bring in more kinds of clue and scatter the fragments further, so the walking and the reasoning both get longer. Three failed batches end the run.
Objective
Rebuild the step order of five experiments from torn notebook fragments and run each one correctly before the containment clock runs out.
