About XorVilo Game

XorVilo Game is a collection of 161 free browser games spread across 25 categories. Everything you see here is a static website: HTML, CSS, JavaScript and images. There is no server behind it, no database, and no account system.

Every game here is finished

Every game listed on the site is built and playable right now. New games are added as they are finished, and the build refuses to run if a game is ever listed without a working implementation behind it.

How it works

The catalog is a static data file bundled with the site. When you open a game, the browser downloads just that game's code and the shared game engine, then runs it locally on your device. The only thing sent anywhere is optional usage analytics — the privacy policy says exactly what that covers, and the cookie settings let you turn it off.

What "high score" means here

Every score, best time and unlocked level is written to your browser's local storage. That means scores are per browser and per device — clearing site data resets them, and a score set on your phone will not appear on your laptop. There is deliberately no global leaderboard, because implementing one honestly would require the backend this project does not have.

Ratings

The rating shown on each card is an editor rating assigned by the people who built the catalog. It is not an average of user reviews, and the site does not collect reviews.

Adding games

The portal is built so a new game is a data entry plus one registry line. Nothing in the portal iterates over implementations at startup, so the homepage payload does not grow as the catalog does.
