Privacy policy

Last updated 21 October 2026.

XorVilo Game has no backend, no accounts and no sign-up. Your scores, favorites and settings stay in your browser, on your device. The only things that can leave your device are optional: usage analytics, from Google, which you control on the cookie settings page.

Optional Google services

Analytics. Google Analytics can count which pages and games are opened and how games end, so we know what to improve. It never receives what you type in search, and its advertising features are switched off. The analytics page lists exactly what is sent.

You choose analytics and ads separately on the cookie settings page. If your device's time zone is in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, these stay off until you switch them on, and from 13 May 2027 the same applies in India. Elsewhere they are on until you switch them off. Only the time zone setting is read to decide this — your location is not looked up. A change applies at once and is remembered in this browser. With both off, the site sets no cookies and nothing you do here is sent anywhere.

What is stored, and where

A handful of values are written to your browser's localStorage, which is readable only by this site on this device. These are the exact keys used:

  • html5games_theme — Your dark or light theme choice.
  • html5games_favorites — The slugs of games you marked as favorites.
  • html5games_recent — The last 20 games you opened, most recent first.
  • html5games_sound_enabled — Whether sound is on or off.
  • html5games_volume — Your volume setting.
  • html5games_highscore_<game> — Best score for one game.
  • html5games_lastscore_<game> — Your most recent score for one game.
  • html5games_plays_<game> — How many times you started one game.
  • html5games_besttime_<game> — Best completion time, for timed games.
  • html5games_progress_<game> — Level or board-size progress for one game.
  • html5games_analytics_consent — Whether you allowed or refused analytics.

Cookies set by Google, when you allow its services, are listed on the cookie policy.

Third parties

Apart from Google Analytics, which is contacted only while you allow it, the one external request the site makes is to Google Fonts for the Manrope and JetBrains Mono typefaces. If you would rather make no third-party requests at all, the fonts can be self-hosted — the project README documents how.

Your rights

Everything the site itself keeps is in your own browser, so you can see, change or delete it at any time, and there is nothing on a server for us to hand over or erase. For data Google holds from analytics or ads, Google's privacy policy explains how to see or delete it. Questions about privacy go to support@xorvilo.com.

Visitors in India

India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 gives you the right to know what personal data is processed about you, to have it corrected or erased, to nominate someone to act for you, and to have a grievance answered. From 13 May 2027, analytics stays off for visitors in India until they allow it. You can withdraw consent as easily as you gave it: switch a service off on the cookie policy and it stops at once. To use a right or raise a grievance, email support@xorvilo.com. If our answer does not resolve it, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Changes

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.

Clearing your data

You can remove everything this site has stored at any time. Doing so also removes the Google cookies on this domain and resets your cookie choices.
