How to play Haunted Hotel
Haunted Hotel is a game about noticing. You are on the eighth floor of a hotel whose stairs only ever lead to another copy of the same corridor: the same ten doors, the same lamps, the same paintings, the same room-service tray outside the same room. The first time through, on floor 8, everything is exactly as it should be, so take a good look.
On every floor below, something may have changed. It might be obvious — a door standing open, the lamps gone out, a guest waiting silently at the far end — or it might be small: two room numbers swapped, the Do Not Disturb sign on a different door, a handle on the wrong side, a lit peephole, a door shifted a step along the wall, or room 13, the door that is never in the same place, turning up where a painting used to hang.
If the corridor is just as you remember it, walk on to the stairs at the far end. If anything at all is different, turn round and go back the way you came. Judge right and you go down a floor; judge wrong and you are back on floor 8 to start again. Reach the lobby before you make five mistakes. The changes are easy to spot near the top of the hotel and get subtler the lower you go.

Get from floor 8 down to the lobby by spotting every changed corridor.
