How to play Haunted Mansion
Haunted Mansion asks you to bring the family heirlooms back to the entrance hall of a house that does not fit together. Leave the library by its east door and you may walk into the chapel through its north door; go back and you are in the library again, but nothing about the layout makes sense on paper, so the map in your head does not last long.
The portraits are on your side. In every room, the gold-framed portraits turn their eyes to the door you first came in through. Follow their gaze from room to room and it always leads back to the hall. The heirlooms are heavy, so you can only carry one at a time, which means a trip deep into the house and a trip back out for each of them. Your notes remember which room you saw each one in.
The lady of the house drifts from room to room, and she moves toward you more often than chance would suggest. A door frosts over when she is on the other side of it. If she drifts into your room, get out by another door before she reaches you; if she catches you, you drop what you are carrying, it goes back where you found it, and you flee to the hall. She never follows you into the hall. From the second night a dark portrait with red eyes looks toward her instead of toward you. Each night the house is bigger and she moves more often.

Carry every heirloom back to the entrance hall and leave by the front door, three nights running.
