How to play War Strategy
War Strategy is four fronts and twelve turns. Each turn you split a small pool of reinforcements between them, and your scouts hand you a reading of where the enemy is massing. That reading is an estimate: low-level scouts are wide of the mark, and you can spend reinforcements on scouting instead of soldiers to tighten it.
Then the enemy attacks. A front with a garrison at least as large as the attack holds and takes losses; a front that is short is overrun and gives up ground. Three pieces of ground lost and the line breaks.
The enemy grows heavier every turn and, from the fifth, hits two fronts at once, while your reinforcement pool grows far more slowly. The war is decided less by holding everywhere than by reading the scouting and choosing which front you are willing to lose.
