How to play Samurai RPG
Samurai RPG is eight duels, each settled by a single exchange. During the standoff your opponent shows a tell — the angle of the blade — and how often that tell is honest depends on who you are facing. Choose high, middle or low before the signal: high beats low, low beats middle, middle beats high.
When the signal flashes, strike. Move early and you flinch, which loses outright; move too late and the cut lands first. If you both chose the same stance the faster hand wins, and later opponents draw very fast indeed.
Road bandits tell the truth almost always. Master Genzo bluffs more than half the time. After each victory you take one of two techniques — a wider striking window, an earlier tell, an extra wound, or a chance to see through a bluff. Three wounds end the road.
