How to play Farm Simulator
Farm Simulator gives you twenty-four plots, six seasons and a well that refills a little each day. Crops only grow on the days there is water in their soil, so the whole game is choosing which plots to keep wet. Wheat is cheap and ready in five days, pumpkins are worth four times as much and drink for thirteen.
The weather is the other half of it. Rain waters every plot for free and fills the well; a heatwave drains the soil almost twice as fast and barely refills anything. Tomorrow's forecast is always showing, so a dry spell is something you plant around rather than something that simply happens to you.
The rent is due at the end of every season and roughly doubles across the run, while the market price of each crop is rerolled each season — the pumpkins you planted for a fortune may be worth a third less by the time they are ripe. Miss the rent three times and the farm goes back to the landlord.
