How to play Pixel Arena
Pixel Arena is a platform brawler in chunky pixel art for two players on one keyboard, or one player against the computer. Damage is a percentage rather than a health bar: every hit adds to it, and the higher it climbs the further the next hit sends you flying. Nobody is out until they are knocked past the edge of the screen, and each player has three stocks.
Tap attack for a quick jab, or hold it and release for a smash that charges for up to a second. Attack with up held for an uppercut, and in the air for a spinning kick. You get a double jump to fight your way back to the stage, down raises a shield that breaks if you hold it too long, and down with jump drops through the floating platforms.
After two minutes the match turns to sudden death and every hit knocks harder, climbing to almost double by the three-minute mark. The computer recovers better, shields more often and reacts faster each time a stock is lost.
Objective
Knock the other fighter off the screen three times before they do it to you.
