How to play Minesweeper

Minesweeper gives you a grid with a fixed number of hidden mines. Revealing a cell shows how many mines touch it; a cell touching none opens its whole neighbourhood in a cascade. Your first click is always safe — the mines are placed after it.

Flag cells you believe are mined to keep track and to protect them from an accidental reveal. Three board sizes step up as you clear them, from a nine-by-nine beginner field to a sixteen-by-sixteen expert grid.
