How to play Penalty Shootout

Penalty Shootout gives you the ball and then the gloves. Taking one, the aim moves over nine parts of the goal while a power bar sweeps underneath it — and the keeper is reading you the whole time, so an aim picked early and held is an aim the keeper has seen. Too much power and the ball sails over.

Facing one is the same problem from the other side. The striker's plant foot gives the corner away for a moment before contact, and diving early buys you reach across the goal — but the better the striker, the more often that tell is a lie.

Three shootouts, five kicks each, sudden death if they finish level. The keepers get quicker across their line and the strikers get better at selling the wrong corner. Lose a shootout and it costs one of three lives.

Win three shootouts, taking the kicks and keeping the goal in each one.
